A key element in Seaford's chains of survival
Seaford Rotary has completed the installation of signs to indicate the location of the three defibrillators along the seafront.
The three defibrillators are at the Martello toilets, the Lifeguard’s Garage (The Salts) and the Newhaven and Seaford Sailing Club. The defibrillators at these three locations are fully operational due to the help of Councillor Rodney Reed and Greg Anderson.
The sign at the Buckle (above) huts directing people to the Sailing Club unit is one of twenty-four signs. Signs indicate the distance and direction to the nearest defibrillator which can be over 400m.
All the signs have the 'broken' green heart symbol on the back to direct anyone coming from the beach responding to an emergency to the nearest unit.
Each sign includes the Rotary wheel and the words 'Signs by Seaford Rotary'.
